Militia Pin? Need help with ID

Found this at an old homesite where I found some civil war buttons. It is fairly "flimsy" but a friend thought it might be military in nature. It was found near Block A confederate button. I am at a loss on this one. Thanks in advance.

I don't look at it and think military.... Kinda looks like a squished slide from a bolo tie but that's probably not it....

Looks like maybe a lot of sunflowers within one big sunflower - it doesn't strike me as Military related.

Nothing says military to me. What kind of metal is it?

It looks like it was attached to something else. Maybe part of a ladies dress buckle? Dress/sash buckles are a fairly common find at old house sites.
