i did some research walked down a mile on an old road and came apon he mill site that sits next to a stream, their is as i believe two house sites as well within 100 yards of the mill. one house site is virtually right next to and got flooded by water as we have had a lot of rain here lately. the other house site does not look clearly like a house site but their were a pile of bricks in the middle so I'm guessing that is a fireplace inside the house plus their is a small hole all the way in the back of the property where the house was probably like 35 yards away next to a corner of a stone wall, is this out house or a well? I'm not sure how close wells were to the old houses. Well anyway to my ultimate question. are the mill sites worth detecting? and if so how should i start the hunt and what am i likely to find? i no that the house sites will be worth and since it was a mill I'm guessing that their was a lot of traffic around this place but it is surprisingly a mile from a major road, back in the day. and i have pictures but they are on my ifone is their any way to post them here form the iphone
thanks for any help!
