Minelab Excal 1000 Battery Charge ?

Hello all,

How long does the battery for the Excal 1000 last before it needs to be recharged?

What about the AA battery pod for the Excal, anyone know about how long will it last with Duracell alkaline?

Does the battery have memory, do you have to completely discharge the battery before it is recharged?

I have 2 rechargeable pods and get about 8 hrs off of them before it starts acting like it's on crack.
