Minelab Excal II Threshold Knob not turning on. HELP!!!

I live in NC.. My machine is not turning on.. I here these threshold knobs go bad? it does not 'Click to On or off.. Anyone besides minicab fix this kinds issue?

First thing to check is your battery to be sure it has enough voltage to even run excal. Once battery drops below about 11 volts it want even turn on.

Yes, the machine was charged,. So frustrating..

Can you tell us some history of the machine, I use to do the work but retired to be a pirate.


How long you had it?

Hip mount, shaft mount?

When was the last time you used it?

How did you use it last time, in the water, wetsand?

Any strange things happen before? Like it acting stupid.

Try and wiggle the battery wire, excal II's are bad about one of the leads breaking in the cable. So they will shut on and off..leading up to not turning on.

Also if you could check the voltage of the battery with a meter, that would eliminate the battery.

Me, I would highly recommend sending it in, they have fast turn around and seem fair on pricing.
