My excal is starting to false some after about an hour does anyone know the voltage in the battery just before it shuts down ? Thanks Mark

Sounds like battery time. I think they drop to 10 volts or so. I gotta new LiMH from an Ebay site..twice the reserve for $50 or so.

you shouldn't drain NiMH cells below about .9 V per cell and its appears to be an 11 cell hump pack. I use this charger for cycling batteries (from my Radio control stuff) but the manual gives lots of good info on batery maintenance.

i have a ex 1000,sent to shop for same problem it was two things,the charger was bad but the biggest problem was the 3 tips that go in one was broken,i have a smaller tip,older machine,so they put a bigger tip on the end and it charged,if you thing you charged it for 12 hours it only charged enough to last maybe an hour.they will check it free first,before you buy any other.
