Just let me say..." Harness" and straight shaft. I have hunted with a harness and straight shaft for over 5 years now, can't imagine not using them now...

well... all I can suggest is the harness... I have custom made belts and a few other inventions that I switch around... When I got my first X-2 I went out for a stroll and my forearm began to burn... I knew right away the "head" had to come off the snake... so out to my stainless and alum pile I went... Been great ever since... in fact just swinging the shaft and coil alone is a breeze.
I have some major helpful pointers for Minelab if ever the chance... Because if anyone has put their products to the test and back... it's me... beings this is my 3rd x-2.
