Just got my new Minelab Safari after using a Whites XLT for many years and boy is it different. My very first target was a 1920D Buffalo Nickel and then a 1945s wheatie but I was surprised when I pulled up that Buff, But I need some serious training on how to pinpoint and how to determine what is a target and what is not because there was little bleeps here and there. I was working a sidewalk strip and I know its never been hit and I am for sure that there has got to be silver there. If anyone can give me pointers on how to pinpoint better and the little bleeps WOW.

Nice results from a new machine.
:hello2:

I had a safari before moving up to an etrac. The safari was great. Iron gives short squeals but will usually blank out. Do not rely on the target numbers on your machine. Some of my best targets kept displaying different target Ids. Hunt in high trash if you are hunting a long a sidewalk. The preloaded programs for coin and jewelry work well for beginners on the machine. The relic mode I thought was outstanding. I found a good many CW bullets in relic mode. If you get a good tone both ways make sure you dig it, you won't believe the depth this machine can get. If you have any other questions just email me.
