minelab service and etrac/explorer

I have been researching the etrac and the explorer SE. Is the etrac better for the beach (more depth)?

How is the minelab service if you have to send your detector in? Are they fast and friendly?

To me the Sovereign with the wot is the best for depth on the beach...... they are getting back to were they use to be in service so you will have good service no worry there...
