Hello,

I recently had some MD's stolen. the police got them back. I let my insurance company know I had my gear back. They said to test it all just in case. So my sons ATPI checked out fine, both CTX 3030's checked out just fine.

The 2 GPZ 7000's do not power on no matter what. I let my insurance company know and they said that legally my Minelab warranty is dead in the water due to the situation and they asked me to send them my 7000's so they can send them away to be looked at and either fixed or replaced.

So my question is where will they send my 7000's? I contracted the dealer I got them at and he said that have to go to the US that Europe does not have trained Techs. Is that correct?

I know it sounds like a dumb question, but seriously this is 20K Euro in machines. The best machines I have ever used and I can not imagine that 7000 techs are a dime a dozen. My insurance rep said she did not know exactly where they would be sent.

I would like a general idea so I can call around and find out where they will be so I can speak with the techs my self. If not then the techs will do their stuff, tell my insurance what they did, insurance will poorly translate it and attempt to tell me what was done.

So does anyone know?

Australia, or the U.S. Don't know of any other repair centers.

I just sent ya a pm. Hope it helps you out!

As far as I know, for ML gold machines, the US repair center address is a UPS store in Chandler AZ and a guy picks them up and takes them to his hpuse and works on them.

if anyone has better info, please add.

Kellyco is an authorized repair center. Don't they work on the gold machines too?

Minelab is not doing repair work on the 7000, instead Minelab is doing warranty replacement at the moment on the 7000s that have hardware issues.......

What about the GPX machines, do these still go to AZ?

I am seeking a instruction video for my Minelab 705. If you no longer needs yours, please sent me a private message.
