Is the 5" x 10" 18.75 kHz elliptical DD Coil for the Minelab X-terra 50 and 70 metal detectors waterproof?

Not according to the DVD they sent me. The 5 x 10 coil is NOT waterproof.

No, the coil is not waterproof but I read somewhere on this forum or another that it can be safely waterproofed...I'm trying to find out how.

It's waterproof from what Iv'e read from countless post and coil charts about 40 of them.
