hi all, Its sunday afternoon and i went out to another location this morning . I forgot to put the lithium ion battery on the charger last nite so i had a 2 hour hunt before the battery warning signal became constant. :-[ :-[ :-[. Found one small piece this morning. The battery takes about 4 1/2 hours to charge so i thought i would get together all of the relic i found on the side of the hill .Most found where once miner cottages and huts once stood. Few copper coins and bit silver, musket ball button and buttons and buttons lol quite few oddities. I think most will know what most of the relics are. We all wish for sites that are untouched but even i find only 1 or 2 every couple of years.

Ok! Now that's some really great relics. Great looking seals.
The thimble with the clay marble (musket ball) inside, a real killer find. :icon_thumright:

Bugga about the battery. Happened to me more than once :-\. It's a little museum that you found :headbang: I like Hide & De Carle token. Is '57 or '58? Seems 1d. What's the silver fancy object, a button or a cuff? Thanks for sharing.

Wow! That's a lot of nice finds. Those virgin site are really hard to come by. I am like you if I find two virgin sites a year I am lucky.

More cool stuff tinpan :headbang:
I do like the thimble and marble combo, as does peppperj, and the tokens and the buttons and the coins and the bullets and the prancing lead horse figure, but in particular, I like the safety pins :icon_sunny:
They appear to be two different styles

and Welcome tuatara :hello2:, Good to see another Kiwi supporting our West Island folk on T'Net.
I've sent you a PM.

Cheers, Mike
