Off work today and drove by a field less than two miles from the house. I grew up here but never paid attention to the slight rise in the center of the field until today. Walked out to it betting myself I'd find something there in the few minutes I had to kill, and there it was, a broken mano. No fancy Fat single notch but a little something. Amazing how relics pop up when you look!

Always head for the rise in the field. No matter how slight/ploughed down.

Thank you, that makes me smile hard. You have to looksee to know what’s there. I look for broke manos, fire rock, exhausted cores. You can stride out and cover distance keeping eye out for the bigger stuff, you’ll soon find it. When do stop. Look around, realize where your standing, go slow, use a flipping stick touch it. you say a small rise, take note, look for that earthly feature again, the high spot or the saddle, the ridge, overhang. Seek out another place with the same characteristics and soon you’ll find another spot. Keep going back to those place and keep looking for more, they are there.
