Minimum $2,000 worth???

I tried to order a box of halves from a different bank today, and the head teller told me that the fed made it mandatory that they have to order at least $2,000.00 worth now, instead of a $500.00 box or bag.
Anyone else hear this? Maybe she just said that to discourage me.

Oh yeah, that doesn't surprise me one bit. You gotta love the tellers that think their job ONLY consists of sitting at the counter and cashing checks.

Yeah, my bank uses Brinks so each week I get $2000 in rolls.

I have had one bank say they would order them but the minimum is $2000. Have yet to try there.

A $2000 minimum would be nice the only bank here that will order will only order $1000 no less no more.

I get a $500 box every week, regular as clockwork. Just found out recently, she orders 1000 and holds one for a week for me. I dunno if its because of a minimum order though.
