What are your thoughts about Mining on Asteroids and other Planets?

I think that mining on Asteroids and other planets will make precious metals and gems more abundant therefore decreasing the value of precious metals and gems OR Terrestrial precious metals and gems will stay at the same value but Extraterrestrial precious metals and gems will be a lot more expensive because they come from outer space which makes them more special. Simply put it will be divided into two categories Terrestrial precious metals and gems and Extraterrestrial precious metals and gems.
