AG could stand for silver.

Kidd,
There is no arrow.
there does appear to be some recent scratches.

were any other signs associated ?

Very nice marker!

I'm with SWR here.

No mining marks at all. Just someone who loves AG.

yes i see recent scratches.but the deep bas relief heart set inside a box it difficult to see but it is very well done . there is absolutely no arrow. two more that are very similar are within twenty feet. one rectangle one square. yes i am in serious graffitti area. its just history repeating itself . i have never seen anything like these anywhere on the internet except for something very similar shown in the book de re metallica which was translated by a former president of the usa. this book i believe was written in the 1500's it showed with much detail how mining was done. the fact AG is the atomic symbol for silver correct me if im wrong. i am not saying these are or are not mining symbols. but they sure do appear similar. ill see if i can find pics of the other two. sorry for poor quality pics it was over cast. kiddrock33
