Mining relics!!

Found some interesting things digging in an old house dump! Another powder scoop for hard rock mining and another Fireman's hose brass rocker lug. There is an interesting hammer tool I will have to find out more about. The shovel or tool handle has a patent date of 1897. There was a name in the other side that is unreadable for me. I was really happy with the old car!! Im not sure if its 2 miners lamps or one that fits together. It will make a neat piece. Our town is having a steampunk festival this weekend!! A couple days of rain in the forecast here!!! Happy Hunting!!

Nice going. I think the long rod with the wood attached to the one end is probably some type of fire poker. . The wood would insulate the holder from some of the heat

I'm guessing you are right. It's pretty cool when wood comes out of the ground without deteriorating!
