Just started this for our Minnesota Finds. I find some oddball stuff from time to time, some of which are unique to Minnesota and I'm sure the rest of you have also. Here are a couple of finds from this past weekend. The double round thing is a Good Luck Token with a 1947 wheatie in the middle. It was issued by the Amberg Motor Co. of Ortonville, MN which is no longer in business. If it was issued in 1947, then it is almost 60 years old. It was so cruddy when I dug it, I thought it was just an old rusty washer. But when the center part wouldn't push out, I put it in my pocket and took it home. It took 3 cleanings to get to where it is on the pictures. It says: KEEP ME and u will have GOOD LUCK on one side and AMBERG MOTOR CO. Pontiac Sales & Service Ortonville, MN on the other side. I found the wooden token on top of the ground at the park at Boyd, MN (pop. 207). I checked and the bar is still in business. The other is a cylinder from what appears to be a .22 caliber gun. I found one exactly the same size and color a couple of years ago.

Here are a couple more from the weekend. A 2000 Corvette matchbox car (Appleton, MN) a wrestling pin from 1993-94 (Renville, MN), a recovery token about the size of a silver dollar, most likely from ACOA (Adult Children Of Alcoholics) found at Renville, MN. Also got a 1947-S wheatie at Renville baseball field. 6 1/2" down

Nice finds Butch. Looks like someone painted the cylinder Blaze orange. When we used to Deer Hunt, used to carry a small caliber handgun for signalling if direction impaired ( never was lost). Maybe was painted to carry during the big hunt-- I remember when school used to close to accommodate the Hunters!!
Also have a really nice token- -no luck in that category yet!
I've found some Farm specific finds- horseshoes, horse bridal rosette, small tools and lots of glass canning lids.
Too bad no jars were attached to the lids!!
Thanks for sharing-- Fall is in the air!!!

Oh,oh- snuck those other pics when I wasn't looking!!
you've been busy!! More neat finds- I enjoy finding just about anything. Well not - nails and pulltabs.
congrats--

I had a drought this year like we had in July........1,500 coins found and no silver, just a few wheaties here and there. Then the rains came in August and the luck changed, albeit non overwhelming. Finally found a 1964 Roosie at Willmar Civic Center where 20,000 people were tented and camped in July for the yearly Sonshine Christian Music Festival. Found it just under the grass clippings. 3 days before I hit a 1907 Indianhead at the city park at Belllingham, MN (pop. 202). It was right at 6" deep between two large trees. Then I got another silver Roosie (1958-D) near the school at Buffalo Lake. Also got the Corvette at the volleyball court there. Here are a few pics of last months misc. finds. Ladies watch was found in beach sand in South Dakota.

I recognise that coin with the Butterfly on it.
I recently learned it has to do with AA.
