Was wondering if anyone could tell me if this is a mint error or post mint damage. This 1936 wheat cent has a area of missing lettering on the reverse but with no apparent damage to the obverse of the coin. So I'm thinking it couldn't be dented? There is also a small area on the obverses top right rim where it seems to be flat. Opinions? Thanks!

It could be some early abnormal wear which subsequently blended into the rest of the normal wear through the years. Hard to tell at this point considering the current condition.
