mint whites old analog detector a good deal for $75 ?

browsing the classifieds and found a local listing

for metal detector whites for 85.

he came down 5 and left bran new alk batts innit

which are easily another 5.

this is the whites 6000 di pro sl .

it was soo minty i knew right away to buy it.

came w instruction books n some period advertsing for

whites.

couldnt wait and headed straight for my fav park.

wasnt sure how to set it and still picked up a few

dollars clad in an hour hunt.

this seems like a real quality unit. but the literature

dont say a date. when was it made from when to when

also says xb after sl on the manual but not on the machine.

ive not been a whites person since i sold my 66T back in 73 to buy

a compass 94b.

how old can u go on whites w it still being modern enuf

to use now.

i think itsa keeper im def gonna bone up on the manual

and try it again in the daylight.

got her a bit dirty at the park there but really is minty.

so far no hidden elec problems.

i almost passed on this when he told me it had a meter

and not a lcd screen. very glad i didnt.

seems great for the price.

This book covers the subject of metal detector discrimination to a depth you'll never use, but will surely add to your knowledge on the subject. The detector used in the book is a metered one that looks like your meter.
