minus or negative tide need a better understanding

I asked this in another thread but decided to post a new topic in order to not hijack the other thread. I would appreciate any info you guys can give me regarding the minus or negative tides. Most people who know me here know I've hunted land for more than ten years and am just now starting to make the switch to water so I have lots to learn yet.

Thanks in advance guys cause I know I'll get allot of great responses you water people are really helpful.

I always thought they meant the same thing. Minus tides come approximatly once a month. They occur around the full moon. The highest neg tides usually occur between NOV and April why i do not know. This is a good site for a getting tides. http://www.saltwatertides.com/pickpred.html
