A Bismarck man`s pot of gold is missing.

The man, who owns Modern Machine Works, said he put a bag with 13 one-ounce gold coins on a shelf in the storage room.

He noticed that it was missing, and reported it to police.

They learned that the man`s brother remembers throwing a bag away last month when he was cleaning up.

That means the bag is probably in the city landfill.

But don`t think about going to try to find it.

The public works director says scavenging at the landfill is against the law.

The gold is worth about $12,000.

I Bet the Public works Officials Can do some scavenging though.

Not a very secure way to store $12,000.00.

Reminds me of when I cleaned out our closet and threw away an old pillow.
Three weeks later my wife asked me where the pillow was.
Turns out she had hidden 3,000.00 dollars cash in it.

I said :cussing:"Are you crazy?" ....:angry5: "You should have told me" ....:cussing:"What were you thinking anyway?"

She said, tearfully "I was saving up to surprise you with a new dredge."

:'( That's another time I wish I could take back what I had said. :BangHead:

A few years ago I threw out an old red book since the coin values were no longer accurate. Recently I wondered where some of my old crisp bills were at……yup…between the pages of the red book. :BangHead:
