I had a go-kart and a mini-bike. The go-kart was the best. Going 25 mph you felt like you were in a Formula 1 car going 100. Now we're all grown up and you'll have to get a modern go-kart like this one. Gary

Found a go kart like that (I think it is a 1960 Bird)at the scrap yard last year for $10. Grandkids have had a blast on it!

I remember when i had a mini bike , thought i was real cool

Nice toys Truth. My childhood toys, consisted of Cap guns, and toy trucks and tractors. At age 14, I bought my first big toy with money I earned from Summer jobs. It was a 1975 Honda CR 125 Elsinore. Those motorized toys did seem to be a bit more fun !

When I was a kid (60's) my Dad raced karts. Built his own. It was direct drive and did a little over 60mph. The McCullough engine turned like 24,000 rpm. We still have it.
After he quit racing we would break it out and run it on the highway every summer. We could get about a half hour runtime before the cops would come looking for us.lol
I also had minibikes, trail bikes, and motocross bikes. Ride Red.
Been riding Honda 4x4 atvs the last 25 yrs.

That's awesome.
One of my favorite toys as a kid was my shootin shell Fanner 50 cap gun.

Grew up next door to the John Deere dealership. Had all the toys. Still have a 55+ yr old pedal tractor and cart. The smaller toys became hand me downs.

And... My first new bike was a 75 Elsie. Lol..worked all summer on my Paps farm to buy it. Picked a lot of stones and bailed lots of hay.
When I went to pick up the Elsinore, it was $980-, and i forgot about sales tax. Had to coax my Dad into lending me $60- so I could take it home that day.
Those bikes were State of the art!

Best I had was a bike 'equipped' with a cloths pin attached to the frame, holding a playing card in a position where the card would hit the moving spokes and make a cool sound as if the bike were motorized.
Don.....

The only toys we ever had when I was a kid were the ones you could steal. To say we were poor is an understatement.

Man you had nice toys! I thought a Tonka Truck was the ultimate toy. Then I got a BB gun.

When we were kids my mom and dad had a big fight over money. They had a small stack of bills and neither of them wanted it. They kept this up for a while. The money was on the table. Me and my brother figured if they didn't want it we would take it and we did. We took the money and came home a couple of hours later. Each of us had a brand new Daisy BB gun. Everything after that is another story. This was back in 1958. I was 8 and my brother was 11. I'm sure it was all his idea.

You’re not the only one my friend I had a 1980 YZ80 I am a go cart that I would wake up early in the morning on Sundays and hit peoples metal garbage cans. Ah IMG_3361.webp
the good old daysIMG_1392.webp
It’s funny on my go cart the throttle broke so I took off the governor and I used to use a shoestring in my hand to go

Giving back to KISS I spent all my birthday money on the kiss army and it was in the days when you waited for months and months and you checked your mailbox every day until it finally came. I bought the exact same things I’ve had image-2021-04-14-22:37:44-215.webp

We are down south we had a drugstore called K&B until they sold out years ago to Rite Aid. I would ride my bike and read on the comic books at the store which I love. I found a guy who had a K&B belt buckle That his grandfather receive off the work in there for 30 years he sold it to me for 20 bucks. It’s probably very rare I haven’t seen another one like itimage-2021-04-14-22:39:55-410.webp

The minibike was the best until my mom bought me by 1980 YZ 80 when I was 12. When the power will be kicked in you were holding on for your life
