Ah, digging up "whatsits". I reckon I have 100's of unidentified items stashed away throughout my home. Love finding the weird stuff along with the old coins and relics. Nice finds even if you never figure out what they are.

I think the object in your hand is what we in Denmark call rasleblik, small metal pieces that go on a horse harness to make noise. Medieval times would be my guess.

Might be, my only thought that doesn't fit well was a Medieval horse harness pendant.

Because the loop is not consistent with all the known examples I have seen, including lots that I have found.

The others finds that are relatively modern are a secondary consideration, but build a picture not in its favour.

Not too small, as I have found smaller, & these type below are about the same size;
