mixed bag tonight. Little silver, gold and some fake silver
Howdy all,
Today was real sporadic as far as hunt time goes. I took Mrs. JuJu to her pre-surgery checkin and dropped her off. She has 7 days to go till they chop out the old hip and give her a new one. I decided to wait for her call and do a little swingin at the school up the street from the hospital. I was only pullin a little clad and trash, but managed to eyeball the small 10k pendant. The stones are tiny but test real. Fast forward to the evening and I finally had some more time to hunt. I hit one of my favorite fields and managed a few keepers. The hoop earring is the second one like this I have dug. I got the first one last year about 20 miles away. The cross looked awesome in the dirt but didn't hit right on the MXT and felt lite weight for silver. When I started cleaning it the silver started to flake off and expose copper underneath. The clasp was the only thing silver, and I acid tested it to be sure. So I cut the clasp off and added it to my loot pile. I have dug several gold pieces like this but never a silver. I call it Swap Meet Louie, lol. Not a bad day at all for as little time as I had to hunt. All total I think I only got 2.5 hours combined. I also got a junk ring, and a medallion that had me goin for a minute. Thanks for lookin, and luck in the hunt.
