Here's a few finds from the last couple of days. a nice penny of henry 111, a cut half of John or henry 111, a nice roman coin although probably the most common type. And an interesting bit of silver that may be Viking "hack silver".

Regards
Robert

Hello stranger :hello2:

Good to see you back!

Very nice coinage robfinds :sunny:

Is hack silver same as cut silver used as payment?

Wish I had you land, at this time of year :(

I keep finding copper from 1600's, but not a bit of silver. I must be in poor man's country around here. I found around a half dozen rings, all copper this past week. So, what you got, I want.. Great finds!

Well done Rob, i like all 3 of them :icon_thumright:

The vikings in the 9th century didn't use coins, they would break silver objects up and use them as bullion.
