Model gold digger

Well, it's marketed for kids. Perhaps even a "sub-beginner" category lower than the Ace/Go-Find/CoinMaster type machines at $150-200. Many will scoff/laugh at it and say it is a toy or junk.....but they would be the fools to scoff at.

The recovery speed and discrimination is crazy good for the price. It also picks up small meteorites that many 300-400 detectors won't. It beeps high on coins and high conductors while discriminated signals provide a low broken grunt. It goes to 4-5 inches with discrim on and gains an extra inch for the magic 6 with it turned off. Nothing beyond 6 inches unless it is a can or something quite big.

Got a few videos of it on Youtube if you are into that....link in my sig below.

My son got it for Christmas last year and hit a 10K ring the first day out with it...so I guess I am biased. But I still have so much fun with this machine it makes me wonder if I am sane sometimes.

You can't go wrong at that price if your just wanting to see if the hobby is for you. I started this obsession May 2014 using an El Cheapo detector ($80). The Bug bit and I went to a mid level detector a month later (the Fisher F4). Used it for until November and pulled almost $500 in clad with it. I am now using the Fisher F75 LTD SE, upgraded. Hope you enjoy the hobby. Good Luck and Happy Hunting.

Awesome video with the son pulling that 10K ring. :headbang:

Thanks man...been hooked on this hobby ever since lol

The Gold Digger is OK, but that's not a great "deal" as that is the normal new price. My suggestion is to bump in another $20 and go for the Tracker 2 or Tracker 4. Less chance of outgrowing it too quickly and you can change out coils. The Tracker 4s 8" coil is worth the extra bucks over the 7" of the GD and Tracker 2 IMO.

But like Hunter And Loco says, the GD is lots of fun and will find whats in the ground.

Good Luck and welcome.
