Modjeska Derma-Balm is just one of several toiletry products marketed under the Modjeska name. It was manufactured by the Larkin Soap Company in Buffalo, New York. The company started in 1875 making soap in a small two-story building, and by the early 1900's, had expanded into a nationwide business with hundreds of products, nearly sixteen acres of floor space, and over 20,000 employees. They were even something of a tourist attraction. Here is a full page article about them in the Buffalo newspaper in 1908 -- click to enlarge, hopefully it's readable. Sorry about the dark graphics, that's just the way the page was when I found it.

Their Derma-Balm product was intended to alleviate various skin conditions, and sold for 25 cents a bottle.
