MonkeyBoy III's First Civil War Bullet!!

My youngest and I went out scouting a site I dug 18 or so years ago... I captured his first bullet on video!!



He went on to dig two more.. one more .58 three ringer and a nice .69 three ringer all in about 45 minutes or so!!! He was pumped.. not bad for 9 years old!!

Thank Mike!!! I am sooo glad I got that... he was just talking a mile a minute after that.. he really wants to dig a plate since his 12 year old brother has two!! Too cute!!!

Thanks... and as everyone says... they will be that age in a heartbeat!!! Seems like yesterday he was a tiny little thing!!! Really, cherish every second!!! There is nothing better then the look on their faces when they dig something for the first time... that look on his face was a better feeling then any of the 75+ plates I have dug!!! AND it was only a bullet... I can't wait till he pops a plate outta the ground..

MB III and I went back out for a bit.. he was king of the barb wire scrap tonight.. but we are up to 15 bullets and another NY button from this area... soo hopefully he will pop some more soon.. he has dug there bullets now and is hooked!!! Even the smashed beer cans were not bothering him too much.. after two or three he said "Well, it could have been a plate!! " ;-)

Oh... we went fishing twice this weekend!! One he hooked was huge but slipped off.. and he is my 2nd son.. not grandson!! ;-) I'm not anywhere close to be ready for that!!! Me, my 1st and 2nd sons are all MonkeyBoys ;-)
