Lot of moose down here at Cottonwood Lake. First two are looks you don't want to get from a moose. He dropped that head and started twitching his ears, but finally decided I wasn't a threat. I'm farther away than it looks, using a zoom lens. He did follow me back to camp, walked right behind my tent, and casually strolled on through the rest of the campground. Most other campers were still in bed. I was kind of amazed, because there were some dogs in the campground, and moose do not like dogs at all, but no conflicts I saw.

More Moose here also than the previous years. See Moose & lots of sign just about time while doing our
exploration work on the mineral claims. Now "if only" we could get a Moose draw for the upcoming season...
 

They've sure increased in numbers in many areas of the state over the last 30 years. On another note, I'm seeing wild turkey wondering around in some very busy areas of the front range corridor lately.
