There was a group of hunters setting up camp in preparation for the big moose hunt.
Since someone needed to cook for the hungry hunters they decided to draw straws and the one picking the short straw became the cook.
Well, to make a long story longer Old John lost the straw pickin contest. Being somewhat pissed, Old John stated that he'd do it for a day or two, but if there was as much as one complant, the complainer became the new cook. All agreed with the terms.
While everyone was out hunting Old John took his duties serious. He thought he show his cooking talent by baking a pie so he scampered about to find the ingredients for the pie filler.
As night fell, the hungry and tired hunters wandered back to camp to see a pie cooling on the chuck box.
After dinner, smiling, Old John distributed the pie to his friends.
One guy shouted this tasted like "Moose-Poop Pie".
Being quick on his feet then finished with "But Good".
