The rains and milder than seasonal temps thawed the ground that was impenetrable days earlier.
This field is visited by Steve and his coon hounds Maverick and Rebel. These dogs run all out in their time at the field. They showed up today, so I got to talk with Steve for the first time in 2018 and say hello to his dogs.
The headphones failed after the first target....got to find out where the problem is. Target 1 was a huge tombac coat button. Dug a lot of square nails and then onto the athletic field. There I got this old achievement pin with some gilt left.
Along the way I found a small dog charm and then a 90 something signal turned up a modern watch.
Last "old" target turned out to be a small cuff button.
Hit the seating area to search out high tones.....lots of clad but no ring or jewelry today.
Good to get out and work the unfrozen ground.
