More Colotial Goodies...Including a Little Silver!

Got back onto a site this evening that rarely lets me down. I've been hunting it for 8 years and I always come away with something. Previous finds on the field are a 1676 4 Sol, a 1784 1 reale, several military buttons, assorted relics including a near complete Brown Bess trigger guard. I know that the easy targets are gone so the only way to hunt this field is low and slow. First target of the night was the sliver of silver. Not sure what it's from, maybe a small buckle but it put me on the board! Rounded out the hunt with a couple buttons a lead thingie with a V or 7 engraved into the end. Hot hunt but enjoyable!

Being complete I would guess it was an inlaid piece , perhaps in wood or bone or the like...knife handle etc....nice piece

also the V could be five, gambling token or a weight 5 drams?

Hasn't been plowed in at least 8 years...I've asked (demanded) the land owner but it's still a no go for the plow. Here's a site shot:

You should sneak in there at night and plow the heck out of it.
