I started the day out by going to the farm I was trying to get permission. I pulled in there and a guy came out, small guy, very big farm. He had some purpose to his walk. I told him that I had stopped by yesterday. He said no, he has guys that detect there. He then must of seen the tear in my eye, he said just today go hit that one field over there, it has been done allot, but go do that for the day. Thank God it was a soybean field (you know what I mean WIF) I had looked at some old maps and went to where a old home site had been, the owner had said the same. I spent three hours there and found a tiny two piece button, buckle with a tiny bit of silver plating left on it, and a drawer escutcheon. My hayfield was calling me. I went there and in an hour and a half I found a 1880 IHC, old copper King George I button, and a thimble.
Enjoy the pix

Brad

Nice find Brad! Now, go back to the Farmer and show him what you found. He may have assumed you would find nothing - he might be impressed enough to let you hit the rest of his farm. If you go back - let us know how it goes.

Congrats on the old copper and other nice finds

Congratulations on the productive relic hunt!

Nice save on the King!

Very nice Brad. You keep landing on some seriously old stuff lately. I see an early silver in your near future. Cheers buddy

When all else fails, try the teardrop method.
I'm gonna try that.

I thought this button was it, all I seen was a very thin edge, lots of silver and dirt.
Thanks, one of these days....

I hit him with the quivering poutie lower lip this morning, I went back there showed him my finds from yesterday and my research of the house across the St next to the Quaker Meeting House. He said go ahead. I'll go back with some more maps and show him some more see where it goes. Three an a half hours later I had this.

Well done Brad. Good going on the pout move.

Whenever they try to give me a "no"... I look all surprised, then pout. It usually works.

That coppah is a real winner. That early KG bust is nice and visible.

Those are some very nice relics and coins! That King George I is a really nice coin! Great job!

You sure have a way with the farmers :laughing7: - nice finds!

I'll hit him up next week with the trifecta after I show him where I found another hidden home site, when he says no it'll be the tear in my eye, little lower lip pout, and end with a quiver. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaa lol
Thanks bud

Yeah, thanks, always gets me, to think that is early 1700's and those guys were in this area in the 1600's
