I have found some more interesting items today around what is believed to be a Templar chapel on the St. Jacque de Compostella pilgrimage route through Gascony,France. The chapel stands in my garden. It has an interesting 8 star motive carved on the wall. Today I discovered a small bead like-object that seems to be made of some sort of white clay. It is carved and has a hole drilled through the centre,it is the size of a British pound coin.I also found with my metal detector a metal object with a twisted carved stem and loop, no idea if what it could be. If anyone has any ideas please do let me know.

It would be nice if you could add some more pictures from different angles.

I'm thinking what you have may be astrological in nature. I suspect the stone star has something to do with Pagans and the winter solstice. Spirals are also common astrological symbols found on petroglyphs and such. The twisted wire I suspect is possibly unrelated and not quite as old.

What a cool place to hunt Im liking that star shaped stone piece would they miss it is this an abandoned wall any more pics would be cool. That star would be on my wall lol

I think your garden holds some old relics.

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Not sure on the ceramic glazed snail looking thing, but with that type of glaze it looks 19th C.

The twisted wire is not that old really & not something I would hold on to, but keep at it.

That carved stone in the Chapel wall is very cool though & does look very early, & clearly had a hidden meaning! Although it looks reused in that section, ie. it was not its original placing.

Very interesting place to hunt...keep at it! :icon_thumleft:
