It's hard to tell from the pics, but item #2 looks like a rifle butt plate. Breezie

I dont know. Could be older. Nice find Moe. The NE winds must have hit your beaches. And you appear to have found a shipwreck location.

I am by no means an expert on guns and no offense to anyone. but I think the gun in the link BigCypressHunter posted is older than they are saying. The butt plate and trigger guard look to me like they are 1700's or very early 1800's. It's possible it was a flintlock converted to a percussion or just a pieced together gun. I really think the butt plate you dug dates in the 1700's. Looks like your in a good spot.
