;D We went to the beach just south of Sharkies fishing pier in Venice Fl. Found much the same as last weekend. Did find two pennies. This isn't the get rich plan but it sure is fun. Next time we go very early....before the sun tanners get to the beach. Most of the can parts were dug up from about 12" deep. I like finding very small pieces of wire. I know I should find even small gold someday. 8)

I feel your pain. It sounds like you have a PI with no discrimination. I also use a Pulse. It picks up every tiny piece of rusted metal wire or fish hook. And will pick up those aluminum cans DEEP! ::)
The benefit of using a PI detector is that you can get right down to the surf line and in the water where all the rings are. (bottlecaps too :() Try it at low tide. ;D

I dug three tin cans all together at 2.5 feet the other day.... It was in that soft sand on Daytona Beach so it wasn't so bad digging deep, but I was amazed how deep the excal can pic up stuff.

Thanks for helping to keep those beaches clean.
Found the same kind of junk when I went to a beach in Bradenton last week. Oh, and 3 cents-- :D It was fun just the same and now that beach is a little cleaner as well.

Happy hunting!

Finding junk is better than not getting out at all. Keep swinging. Go a little farther south to Englewood and try. This is my favorite vacation spot and I have had good luck there over the years.

aluminum is going for a pretty good price per pound ;). check those smoke paks never know when a few bucks have been slid into their backside.
