Love the petrified wood points. Once again great stuff ! :icon_thumright:

I wonder if the knappers knew their material was petrified/fossilized wood.

Very nice work......Beautifull work..HH

what a nice assortment of pretty materials

Great looking points. I wonder if the Indians heat treated their rock before they knapped it, especially wood. My guess is that they did cook it up first.

Outstanding Points. Nice collection.

Wow! Those are really nice. Are they all personal finds? Thanks for sharing.

For a 5 year period starting in 1979 I was rather addicted , divorced over it. I found over 300 arrowheads and tools. We were very open about what we were doing then on private property, but things are different now and no longer having permission, I would not want to risk my collection by looking for them.

thanks for sharing, unbelievable!!! im about to complete my first year of collecting and found that the hunt and find of an artifact is only a small part of the obsession, i spend hours and hours a night studying and researching, but the more i learn, the more i realize i dont know. so great thanks to this site and everybody who shares there years of knowledge

Once at a dig when I was handed a beer, I opened it and poured some in the hole asking the Great Spirit to help me find an Arrowhead... I found one in the next screen... and after that every time I opened a beer I repeated this and found at least one arrowhead every outing.. Seeing how lucky I was; soon all the other guys were doing the same...True Story...
