More From The "Hunted Out" site - Broach - IH - Whatit?

I returned to that site I was told not to hunt because it had been totally hunted out by some of our best THers.

Today we know a site is never completely hunted out but they can be worked down so far they're not worth the effort.

I'd say this site is about there now. I spent about 5 hours and these are the only items worth showing here. I also dug a 1958 wheat, a bunch of modern change, and a cool iron stove part plus lots of unidentified stuff.

I had to really hunt hard to find these. All were masked by trash and some very very deep. I can sure see why the others missed these.

Detecting sure is fun!

Can you ID the joint thingy? It is tapped on both ends, not broken.

Neat finds and Crusader got that one, I had no idea but it is very obvious, LOL! I have hunted a few tough hunted out by myself sites lately and managed a few finds. Times are hard this time of year for relic hunters. HH, Mike

Badger I think that guy meant you should stay out of there because you might hurt your back digging up all the artifacts. ;D ;D

You're teasing out some old keepers. You never know how coins can shift around in the soil.

Are you digging the gold signals too?

Congratulations on the IH.

Oh yes, I usually run the Tejon on FOIL discrimination which will pick up the gold. In fact I've dug two gold rings in the last couple of weeks.

I don't post everything I dig, too lazy I guess.
