Hello everyone!!
Another great day weather wise in Michigan so of course, I had to get out this morning. I started early and was home by 11:30am, just in time to get some work done around the yard.
I went out to the same area that I hit yesterday and planned to do two more schoolyards. The first one had only a couple play areas because just like yesterday, half the property was under construction so I covered the four woodchip areas that remained. Five minutes into the hunt, right next to a monkey bar, a nice little 14kt white gold wedding band pops out. Sweet, another gold ring, three for the weekend! The wood chips were pretty fresh and the finds were few and far between but I soldiered on. It payed off again by the slide. At the base of the ladder, I sweet little 14kt gold chain was laying right on top of the woodchips. It's a box style chain and wearable, not broken, I'll take it! The rest of the areas were uneventful but I was super happy having my keepers found already so I wrapped it up after 1-1/2 hours of searching and drove to the next school on my plan. When I arrived, the whole property was under constuction.. no play areas at all, all plowed under and fenced in, a no go.
Well, there was one more school in that area about 6 miles away so I started out for it but got turned around and lost and ended up in the town next to it. While I was trying to find my way, I passed a school in a subdivision and saw it had one big play area so what the heck, I stopped there instead and searched it. It was a newer school, maybe 5 or 6 years old and I don't think it had ever been searched. There were so many targets, coins everywhere. It seemed like every swing I got a signal. I searched for a total of two hours and probably dug at least 450 or 500 targets. It was a blast but kind of exhausting. It took two hours to search the entire play area. I didn't find any gold or silver but I did find the hugest religious cross pendant ever. It's about 4 inches long and 2-1/2 inches wide. Super bling!! I also gug an intersting old Swiss coin, 1958 that is holed for wearing as a pendant I guess. A nice assortment of trinket jewelry too, no rings but a chain bracelet, 7 pendants and 5 differnet amusement tokens, Chuckie Cheese etc and others.
All in all, another fantastic day with one one my highest clad coin counts ever. 4 hours total searching time, a couple cold treasures, $9.57 in clad and 243 coins. I think my pouch weighed five pounds at least. I think I have my fix lol (until next weekend at least )
Here's a couple photos of today's finds. Thanks for reading and HH to you all!
