Glad to finally get out with my Simplex today. Lots of nails (digging all signals), some wire and misc chunks of iron banding. I won’t consider it a “skunking” as I found a Straight Heel Buckle and a decent Cockeye with a bent roller (below)
The small piece on the right appeared to be an old, square nut. Upon closer examination it may have been homemade from scrap. (?)
The cockeye will have the steel roller removed and will be repurposed in the garden; they make great bird feeder hangers.👍🏼
