Just some of the things I've found near each other in my yard; I also dug an 1850 large cent nearby, as well as numerous Indian head pennies, late 1880s. Maps indicate there was some sort of building on our lot by 1906, before our home was built. I'd always assumed it was just farmland until the late 1800s, but now believe this was a residential building. Trying to get a bead on the timing so I can do more research. Is the circled item some sort of yoke or rein guide? It's very heavy--clearly iron--but seems small for a horse?

thanks.
