My first thought was that this is a top to a marker or something like that, but I'll leave it to the experts. It's about 2.25 inches in length and is threaded on the inside. I can make out "Reg. U.S. Pat. Off." Above that, it looks like something is written, but most is illegible. It looks like it ends in -er, and I really hope it isn't budweiser. It looks like it starts with an S. S_ _ _ _ _ _e r?
