I went back to the mud flats today. This time I met up with Whydah. It was so cold we could not dig until the tide receded. The sand was too frozen! Out in the water I could see that there was a skim coat of ice on top of the mud! Although we were frustrated with the conditions we were not deterred. Finally the tide went out and we got some goodies. I got one nice 14 K ring with ice and more lipstick cases, some silverware, lead weights and a silver dollar that turned out to be a Franklin after electrolysis cleaned it up. You know that salty pirate Whydah would not be outdone, he got some booty as well. Good hunt buddy, thanks for the lessons.

HH everyone, good luck out there.
