I went back to the mud flats today. This time I met up with Whydah. It was so cold we could not dig until the tide receded. The sand was too frozen! Out in the water I could see that there was a skim coat of ice on top of the mud! Although we were frustrated with the conditions we were not deterred. Finally the tide went out and we got some goodies. I got one nice 14 K ring with ice and more lipstick cases, some silverware, lead weights and a silver dollar that turned out to be a Franklin after electrolysis cleaned it up. You know that salty pirate Whydah would not be outdone, he got some booty as well. Good hunt buddy, thanks for the lessons.

Congrats! I wish I could get out and hunt! Winter... Enough said...

Nice ring. I believe at least one of the standells couldn't stand that song.

TreasurDiggerNY, love that song, thanks. That song is about the Charles River in Boston - a real mudhole! Probably a lot of goodies there though, under 100's of years of mud and pollution!

That is a terrific looking gold ring, Fenway!:notworthy:

I like the silverware too...and the silver dollar!

Nice goin' in that hunt!
