Hey, I went to exchange pennies for some more money for some more pennies, so anyway, the tellers said that their going to start charging me to roll pennies. So now I've got to join the bank to get this for free. There is no other banks that have a rolling machine for an hour. >:(

The stats for today are 19 canadians and 0 wheats in 1000 pennies.

The banks roll your change for you? :o I just roll my own as i go through it..only takes a few extra seconds per roll and you can mark the rolls with marker so you dont get them and search them twice lol. Too bad you didnt find anything good in those :-\

Re: Tellers fight back (Americanada 3)

Yep, went to my neighborhood Walmart and got me one of them plastic coin holders for rolling coins. Just fill it to the top mark, add a paper roll and its dione. Sure makes my bank people happy. And like Jake says, mark it, this way hopefully you won't get the same roll back. Good luck on your future roll hunts.

Re: Tellers fight back (Americanada 3)

Definetly like the marking of the roll's aspect!!!never know, now you will!

Re: Tellers fight back (Americanada 3)

I probably haven't exchanged coin rolls since the early1970's, but even then they would make me put my phone number on each roll that I returned.
I suppose the customers were complaining about finding 3.5" long steel pipes in their penny rolls insted of pennys. ??? LOL

Re: Tellers fight back (Americanada 3)

my mom got a roll of quarters from the bank once that had half washers and half quarters lol.

I roll all mine too as i go. I dont have to put my name or account number or anything on the rolls at my dump bank. course, i've had a 18 year relationship with them too - and they are a small bank and all know me well.

Re: Tellers fight back (Americanada 3)

My bank has a coin machine. All I have to do is take in my loose change, and they drop it in & deposit that amount in my account, it's a free service to customers. I just picked up my first batch of rolled coins to start searching. I travel the state a lot as part of my job, so I get into some pretty remote areas. I have been picking up rolls at those small "Mom & Pop" banks. I also picked up some rolls from the Indian Reservation Casino. I will post the results.

Each bank is different. I'm just fortunate to have one with a change counter. HH Art...
