I"m still debating on what that ninth blade could be, I've narrowed it down between a Smith, because it looks like it but it's the only one we've found. And a possible Etly varient, because we've found a few Etlys..
let me know what you guys think!

Haha, Snee my good friend,
These aren't all from one day, all tho i wish I did have a day like this.
These are just a few I have found over the years. I was snapping pictures and thought i'd post some for you guys!
Thanks for the post!

That's it I'm moving to IL! Move over Johnny here comes the competition ;)! Very nice! How do you display them?

Country Girl, COME ON DOWN!!!!!!!
As far as displaying them, I have about 8 cases for my actual points. I have a glass top table for some of my Adena cache blades. I don't display my axes or my grinding bowls because they take up way to much space!
Thanks for the post!

Careful I may just show up some day. Have realatives in IL. Very nice, I wish I found that many whole ones here, most are broken, still love the find though. Funny I always keep my eyes on the ground, Hubby always says watch where your going!

Oh i hunt a plowed field so my broken/whole ration is horrible.
But I keep every tip, base, piece i find and then go through and try to match the parts later. Sometimes if you find the 2 pieces they can be worth almost as much as the whole! Keep looking tho, if you're finding broken ones, the whole ones are there! You should post some of your finds!

I've posted a few. Should take a picture of the huge bucket of pieces and parts. I'll try to post a few more this week. I think I'll take some time this winter and see if I can match some up. Thanks!

Sounds good to me!!!!!!

Wow!!! I would love to see that type of color around WV and PA! I get stuck with black "flint" mostly. Occasanolly I get some "Dauphin county" White stone in PA. And the very hard to find Onodaga mottled chert from way up in NY. Thats in PA. In WV I have only found black "flint".

Of course I get some ryolite material and most is older stuff. I do have a nice OLD blade of it all from PA.

LOL! ok, it did seem a little too good to be all in one day. But for all I know you had found a really productive field! :P

WOW!!! You really over cleaned that large cent! Sorry, couldn't resist. Some very interesting pieces you have there.... glad you posted them, it will give me something to chew on for a while and it will allow me to fall asleep tonight with dreams of finding some nice old large points come spring..

Haha! Cannonman you funny one you! Actually that Large cent was my grandpa's! I'm not sure where he got it from! I'm telling ya, You, BadAndy, myself need to get some kind've artifact hunting trip set up or something, at the very least compare our finds! Muwahah the only punctuation is an exclaimation! ok, i'm done.

Hit me back.

Looking good man! We have got to meet up sometime. I made it to the last artifact show in St. Charles and met Andy now its your turn. lol I have missed most of the fall hunt season but I will be back in force this spring! I may have to sneak onto your field! ;) J/K

Alan!!!!!!! I almost forgot about you my friend. If we ever get a rock hunting trip together you're on the invite for sure! I hit the field pretty hard this fall but it's pretty much picked out until the spring cultivation. But we definitely have to get together sometime soon. I was in a wedding when that last artifact show was going on in St. Charles. Hit me up sometime.

Thanks
Some of those colors are just beautiful if i do say so myself. It's amazing to think that 10,000 years ago people had such a sense of beauty and geometry.
