More ?'s then answers...
Yesterdays 2hr hunt left me scatching my head on the finds. It's a site that turns up things from Native American to early 20th century.I've found them all here in the past. It's a go to site that I don't have to launch the boat to get at.Yesterday was the same deal with it as it turned up colonial buckle part, bronze spike, trigger guard, bullets don't know what kind there ringed & base are 50cal weigh from 315gr to 343.Also a copper piece that not sure of yet as it is drilled after I cleaned it up a little.Kinda thought at first mabe a key hole cover but now not so sure as it is a little odd for that compared to others I've found most being made in one piece first off & thicker, also shows no signs of it ever swiveling around the hole & the drilled part has me too.I'm kinda thinking now mabe a native pendant it would be my second if it is but this ones not so clear to me as it being found among a site like this that produces a little of everything, unlike my other that only produced native stuff which clearly sent me in a direction to find out it was a hand hammered copper pendant like some found in the tide water region of Virginia. The knife was found laying at the water edge floated in from somewhere,I will say this the blade must be some good metal cause I really thought when I pulled it out it be gone from the salt water but hell,if I cleaned the growth off it shine like new, damn good metal for sure.
Take Care,
Pete,
