Still no coins or buttons but I did pull a musket ball ,small buckle and a stirrup today . Lots of targets .Most are junk but very little modern trash! I also pulled some large iron that's not pictured but show that this area was pretty busy at one time.
Can any one ID the stirups age ? This is the first whole one that I have dug. :headbang:

From the lan of the Bluenose.....interesting lot of finds. My guess would be around 1900's but no expert. Glad you got out and best of the season.
 
Sorry I can't help on the stirrup but that's better than a coin or button in my book :icon_thumright: Keep plugging away while you can!!!
 
Awesome finds Trent! I found a stirrup just like that back in the mid 90's in North Raleigh.....but believe it or not, I think I tossed it in the woods. I still can't believe that. Was this at the fishing spot you told me of, without giving away your spot.
