Conito@55 and I hit the old ghost town again. He did a bit better than me, as you can see by his post, but I'm always very happy to find an old silver.
Today it was a 1911-s Barber dime.
The brass rectangle was silver plated. Not sure what for. There are no markings on it.

Great old Ghost Town finds! Do you ever get out to the Fallon, NV area? I was stationed at Naval Air Station there way back in 1970.
