Too hot and smokey in the lowlands so I suffered the vacationing crowds up at the lake for a couple hours. The fire just south of Tahoe is now out of control. Anyway, I worked one of the beaches and managed two sterling rings, a sterling St. Joe medal, a 32-40 cartridge case, some costume junk and $2.28 in clad. It was nice and cool there once again!

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Like most lakes around here, I am hearing Tahoe is really low.

Nice finds!

You ever detect Lahontan (spelling?) between Fearnly and Fallon?
I was stationed at Fallon Naval Air Station and we would go there to picnic/party.

Tahoe is only down about a foot, according to the usgs, can't hardly tell it's down at all by looking at it.
I'd love to detect Lahontan, but it's a NV State Park, so detecting is strictly verboden.

Cool snake ring......I just found one myself a few days ago.

Here's the one I found......broken at the solder joint and then smashed flat. I hope to straighten it, but, I'm worried I might break the stones loose in the process.
