Morgan 1878 CC

I have been looking to purchase my first morgan that is from the cc mint. The ones I have seen for sale in shops that are under $100.00 have been very worn and range from $80.00 to $90.00. I just found a real nice one that is a 1878 cc and looks to be in fine condition. It has a nice look to it with a dark to light tone. It is priced at $100.00 Is that to much to pay for one in fine condition or can I get a better deal if I wait or maybe look on ebay ? Im new to coin collecting, my red book says $110.00 for VF.

The value of a coin varies month to month depending on what people will pay. PCGS values a 1878 CC morgan at $100 in G-4 and $125 in F-12. When in the lower grades you don't have to worry as much about cleaning and such, but you do have to worry about counterfeits. All my CCs minus the 1 i got for a dollar at my work are PCGS or NGC slabbed authentic. Hope this helps some.
